By way of background, the Quest Leadership Consortia creates teams of seasoned veterans in their fields as well as innovative leaders, with the goal of providing trusted advice in the operational efficiency of healthy buildings. We do this using a business model that provides an exceptional value proposition.
In the recent past, facility owner’s goals were to create comfortable and marketable spaces for their occupants, with a minimum of energy and operations expenses, while also looking closely at using data-driven and integrated, holistic views of their building’s operations in order to meet that goal. Then along came COVID-19. The pandemic has, and will, change worker needs, human behaviour, hygiene practices, consumer demands and workplace practices. Companies and their facility operations staff must prepare for the “Next Normal” in buildings operations and management.
It is our belief that the first goal of effective building management is to make it safe. Then and only then so we look to find appropriate savings or cost-avoidances in operations. Simply put, it is “SAFE, then SAVE.” We know all too well that a building’s operator is the visible interface for anything and anyone in a facility. Their position will now be tasked with even greater responsibility, as they will be required to implement even more stringent health, safety and infection control measures in their facilities. With that in mind, we are able to provide focused, timely, current and customized advice that directly meets the needs of the “Next Normal” in building operations.
