Daniel Tatomyr

Honours B.A.

Our managing director, the ‘conductor’ of the orchestra of skills and talents is Daniel Tatomyr. Daniel brings a significant range of business management and  market development experience to his role, having served in an executive role at an urban transportation and client service organization in the MURB sector, as well as experience in business startups. 

In addition, Daniel brings over a decade of experience in logistical support from his time in professional sports primarily with the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club.

Daniel’s particular expertise in the application of data-rich approaches to management in professional sports provides valuable and unique insight into the application of ‘big data’ into the Digital and Building IoT (Internet of Things) worldviews.

An honours graduate of the University of Toronto, Daniel is an avid follower and researcher of  global trends related to energy and sustainability, and is responsible for business strategy, management and development, data project management, BIoT and utility interaction and LMS platform infrastructure. 

Gary Johnson

BES, CET, DipAdEd,

Our resident Energy and Sustainability Sage is Gary Johnson, who brings almost 50 years of experience in the energy and environmental spheres, starting his career with Canada’s National Research Council in 1976. For over twenty years, he was a partner/owner of a successful Consulting Engineering and Energy Services company, responsible for energy efficiency retrofits in buildings totalling over $500,000,000. Gary’s Business Management experience includes COO of an engineering consulting business, CAO for a group of energy companies, and VP, Strategic Initiatives for the Energy Services business of a large and successful $20B Fortune 500 utility. Retiring from business in the early 2000’s, he worked with the United Nations and with international universities in developing actionable approaches to energy efficiency and sustainability. Gary spent 10 years as a Professor ; Building Sciences, Energy and Sustainability at Seneca College, as well as Adjunct Faculty in a number of Canadian Universities.  In addition to international speaking engagements, Gary has been the key designer and facilitator of extensive Operations Training and Energy Accounting projects with a wide range of clients.

Filimon Tsionas

B.Ed, CertAdEd, CFA, CET

As Specialist, Intelligent Buildings,  Fil brings to Quest over 35 years experience in the design, operation and maintenance of building operations with a major multinational controls company, as well as over two decades of experience as Professor and Program Coordinator for the Building Sciences programs at Seneca College in Toronto.  Fil serves as a building automation and intelligent building consultant to a number of companies, and has delivered effective and powerful instruction and coaching in BAS to  hundreds of building operations staff, as well as thousands of college students. Fil brings real-world experience coupled with a passion for sustainability and cutting-edge expertise in building automation systems and intelligent building platforms, and the trends impacting this critical sector in North America.

Chris Evanoff

Honours B.A.

Chris is Quest’s Specialist in North American Energy Supply Markets. He brings over 20 years experience in the energy marketplace, both with world-class energy services corporations and with international natural gas supply and procurement. He has set up and managed complete energy accounting systems for commercial and institutional clients, and is fully conversant with all aspects of the energy management process. Chris is currently actively involved in  procurement and client management within the deregulated Natural Gas market, and writes frequently on North American issues related to energy and supply-side perspectives. Chris serves as our specialist in Energy Supply Markets.


Dr. Andrei Komorowsky

M.D., CPSO, RCPSC

Dr. Komorowsky is an internationally trained physician and specialist in emergency medicine, who currently has privileges at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, the London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario as well as Michael Garron and the Toronto East Health Network. He is a Lecturer and Part-Time Faculty at the University of Toronto – Department of Medicine, and has completed additional studies in Tropical and Infectious Diseases. Andrei is a Member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Ontario and a designated Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialist in Emergency Medicine.

Andrei brings his extensive medical experience to the team related to the safe operations of facilities, as well as pathogens and viral transmission vectors in HVAC systems.

Andrea Savoie

OCT, B.Ed., B.F.A, M.A.

As Specialist – Human Factors and Affective Design, and with a B.F.A. from York University, a Masters degree in the counselling field from Concordia University, and a B. Ed from Nipissing University, Andrea brings to the team a unique background in human factors and education. At Quest, she serves both in the facilitation of segments of our Training Needs Assessments, as well using her background as a therapist to the determination of human factor implications of our training programs.  Passionate about environmental issues, and with experience in writing environmental externalities reports  for green sector financing organizations, she brings a solid energy and environmental awareness to her deep understanding of human relationships.

Theresa Johnson


OCT, B. Ed., Hon.B.A.

Theresa serves as Quest’s Specialist – Learning Systems, and has been involved in the energy and sustainability arena for approaching 20 years through her company ecoGOGY, which applies adult learning design (andragogy) within the sustainability sphere. She has served as editor of a number of post-secondary texts in buildings operation, and has a particular expertise in the development and implementation of evaluation strategies for technical learning  in the building sciences field. Theresa provides services related to training needs assessment, workshop design and evaluation strategies, as well as learning system administration and analysis.

Robert Tunney

RRFI CIT

Robert Tunney brings to Quest his decades of experience in the operation of recreational and sports facilities. Active in senior roles within the Ontario Recreational Facilities Association, and serving as ORFA’s President in 2015-16, Robert provides experienced and insightful advice in the operation of increasingly complex systems found within Ontario’s recreational facilities. Robert serves as an expert eCoach to our client’s Recreational Facilities Managers and Operators.
